# Edit Elements

Explore elements detailed management and editing options to fill them with different types of content.

## What is an Element?

An **element** is a building unit of a block that contains different types of content (**e.g.** image, video, text, etc.).

[Open an editor](/editor/work-in-the-editor.md) and select a block.

Click on the block either in the editor or at the **Section block list** to select it.

Click on the element in the block to interact with it (fill, open an element settings menu).
