A mapping element creates association-based assessments where learners match related items across two columns.
It’s ideal for testing understanding of relationships, concept connections, or paired information through an interactive matching interface.

Open a mapping element settings window to start editing.

Display feedback icon
Shows / hides the feedback icons next to the answers.
Select an option:
Click Yes to enable the feedback icons;
Click No to hide the feedback icons.

Display feedback
Shows / hides the Feedback type: general option.
Select an option:
Click Yes to enable the feedback option;
Click No to hide the feedback field.

Feedback type: general
Enable the Display feedback option to show the setting.
Allows to set general feedback.
Select an option from the drop-down menu:
Correct/Incorrect: Displays feedback depending on whether the lists comparing was correct or incorrect;
Any Response: Displays informational feedback regardless of whether the lists comparing was correct or incorrect.
The changes will be saved automatically.
Select a mapping element to start editing.

Add an answer option
Click on the + icon.

Edit answer text
Click on the answer text and enter a new value.

Delete an answer option
Click on the x icon.

Edit general feedback text
a. Enable general feedback option; b. Click on the True/False icon to switch between feedback options for correct and incorrect answers; c. Click on the feedback text and enter a new value.
The changes will be saved automatically.
