# Mapping

## What is a Mapping Element? <a href="#what-is-a-single-choice-element" id="what-is-a-single-choice-element"></a>

A **mapping** element creates association-based assessments where learners match related items across two columns.&#x20;

It’s ideal for testing understanding of relationships, concept connections, or paired information through an interactive matching interface.

## Edit General Mapping Element Settings <a href="#edit-general-single-choice-element-settings" id="edit-general-single-choice-element-settings"></a>

## Manage Answers and Feedback <a href="#manage-answers" id="manage-answers"></a>

Select a mapping element to start editing.
