What is a Single Choice Element?
A single choice element creates question-based assessments where learners must select one correct answer from multiple options.
Use it to test knowledge comprehension and evaluate understanding of concepts.

Edit General Single Choice Element Settings
Open a single choice element settings window to start editing.

Shuffle
Shuffles the answers list randomly in the preview mode and in the course.
Select an option:
Click Yes to shuffle the answer options;
Click No to leave the existing answers order.

Display feedback icon
Shows / hides the feedback icons next to the answers.
Select an option:
Click Yes to enable the feedback icons;
Click No to hide the feedback icons.

Display feedback
Shows / hides the feedback options and settings.
Select an option:
Click Yes to enable the feedback options;
Click No to hide the feedback field.

Feedback mode
Enable the Display feedback option to show the setting.
Specifies the feedback type.
Select an option from the drop-down menu:
General: Allows to set general feedback for all answers. Enables general feedback setting: Feedback type: general.
Per answer: Allows to set individual feedback for each answer. Enables feedback per answer settings: Feedback logic; Feedback type: per answer.
Combined: Enables both General and Per answer settings: Feedback logic; Feedback type: per answer; Feedback type: general.

Feedback logic
Select the Feedback mode: Per answer or Feedback mode: Combined option to show the setting.
Select an option from the drop-down menu:
Per selected answer: Displays feedback for specific answers;
Per each answer: Displays feedback for all answers options.

Select the Feedback mode: Per answer or Feedback mode: Combined option to show the setting.
Specifies the individual feedback type for each answer.
Select an option from the drop-down menu:
Correct/Incorrect: Displays feedback depending on whether the answer was correct or incorrect;
Any Response: Displays informational feedback regardless of whether the answer was correct or incorrect.

Feedback type: general
Select the Feedback mode: General or Feedback mode: Combined option to show the setting.
Specifies the general feedback type for all answers.
Select an option from the drop-down menu:
Correct/Incorrect: Displays feedback depending on whether the answer was correct or incorrect;
Any Response: Displays informational feedback regardless of whether the answer was correct or incorrect.
The changes will be saved automatically.
Manage Answers and Feedback
Select a single choice element to start editing.

Add an answer option
Click on the + icon.

Edit answer text
Click on the answer text and enter a new value.

Change answer order
Hold and drag the icon next to the answer.

Mark an answer as correct
Select a radio button next to the answer.

Delete an answer option
Click on the x icon.

Edit answer feedback text
a. Enable feedback for each answer option (Feedback mode = Per answer or Combined); b. Click on the feedback text and enter a new value.

Edit general feedback text
a. Enable general feedback option (Feedback mode = General or Combined); b. Click on the True/False icon to switch between feedback options for correct and incorrect answers; c. Click on the feedback text and enter a new value.
The changes will be saved automatically.
