# Manage Resources

## What are Resources?

**Resources** are the downloadable content (images, videos, documents, etc.) to fill courses.

**Digital asset management (DAM)** is the process of organizing, storing, and distributing digital files.\

**Perform DAM principles in Parta.io** [replacing](#replace-resource) or [deleting](#delete-resource) the resources from Projects that uses them at the [Resource manager](#select-resource-manager).

**Supported resources types and formats:**

## Manage Resources

### Select Resource Manager

Go to the **Resources** tab.

A company **Resource manager** will appear.

Store resources available for the whole company.

[Open a Project](https://help.parta.io/project/set-projects/manage-a-project) and go to the **Resources** tab.

A Project **Resource manager** will appear.

Store resources available for individual courses only.

### Upload Resource at the Resource Manager

Go to the [**Resource manager**](#select-resource-manager).

Click the **+** button.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select **Upload resources** to upload supported files from the device.

Select **Upload from library** to upload images from the [Unsplash](https://unsplash.com/) library.

### Upload Resource in the Editor

[Open an editor](https://help.parta.io/editor/work-in-the-editor) and select an element.

A pop-up window will appear.

Click **+** or the **Upload** button at the element settings window.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select the existing resources level:

* **In project**: Uploads **Project level** resources;
* **In company**: Uploads **company level** resources;
* **Unsplash**: Uploads images from the [Unsplash](https://unsplash.com/) library (**Project level**).

&#x20;[Upload new resources](#upload-resource-at-the-resource-manager) in the same way as in the Resource Manager.

Click on the resource.

### Download Resource

Go to the [**Resource manager**](#select-resource-manager).

Select the checkbox next to the resource.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select **Download**.

### Rename Resource

Go to the [**Resource manager**](#select-resource-manager).

Select the checkbox next to the resource.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select **Edit**.

A pop-up window will appear.

Enter the resource name at the **Name** field.

### Replace Resource

Go to the [**Resource manager**](#select-resource-manager).

Select the checkbox next to the resource.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select **Replace**.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select the **Replace everywhere** checkbox to replace a resource in each block that uses it.

Select a block, section or a Project to replace a resource in it.

Select the existing resources level:

* **In company**: Uses **company level** resources;
* **Unsplash**: Uses images from the [Unsplash](https://unsplash.com/) library (**Project level**).

[Upload new resources](#upload-resource-at-the-resource-manager) in the same way as in the Resource manager.

Select the resource that will replace the selected resource.

A pop-up window will appear.

Click the **Apply** button.

### Move Resource

Select the checkbox next to the resource.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select **Move**.

Click on a folder name to select the destination.

Use a search field for quick access to the folders.

Click the **Move** button.

### Delete Resource

Select the checkbox next to the resource.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select **Delete**.

A pop-up window will appear.

If the resource is used in courses, a list of the related courses, sections, and blocks will appear.

Click the **Delete** button to confirm an action.

### Perform Bulk Actions

Move or delete multiple resources at once.

Select several checkboxes next to the resources.

A pop-up window will appear.

Select the required action from the action menu.

Actions for multiple resources work the same as actions for a single resource.
