Comments, along with tasks, make it easier for your team to focus at work and boost productivity while developing a course.

Create comments

You can leave comments in preview mode or directly in the editor. To start working with comments, you need to switch to the comments mode by clicking the comment icon in the header. In the right-side panel, you can see all the comments sent by you or your collaborators earlier. To write your first comment, follow these easy steps:

  • Click the 'Comments' button in the top panel.

  • With the comment pointer click on the block (need to click on the area near the block) or a particular element.

  • In the popup window enter your comment.

  • Tag your team member(s).

  • Send your comment.

You can also leave comments in preview mode by clicking the icon next to the appropriate block.

By default all employees have "comment" and "view" permissions so they can enter any project and comment on it.

Notify coworkers

Sorting

New comments will be shown in the right-side panel with the default sorting of 'latest first'.

Any comment card displays information about the author, block number, and element the comment was left on (if comments were added to an element).

Clicking on a comment will open the popup window, making it easier to identify its location within the project.

Edit comment

Select the comment you would like to edit, either in the right menu or near the block/element, click on "…" that will pop up when you'll point near the comment, select "Edit" and click "Save" button.

Mark comment as resolved

Select the comment you would like to resolve, either in the right menu or near the block-element, and click on "Resolve" icon.

Delete comment

Select the comment you would like to delete, either in the right menu or near the block/element, click on "…" on the top, select "Delete".

Subscribe to a comment

Users mentioned in the discussion will only receive notifications when they are mentioned.

If you want to keep track of all correspondence, select the comment you would like to subscribe to, either in the right menu or near the block/element, click on "…" on the top ,select "Subscribe".

You can also unsubscribe, if you don't want to receive any notifications regarding particular comment :

Author and users that were tagged in the comment will be subscribed automatically.

Pin comments

You can pin comment(s), by clicking on the icon near the block/element, and then clicking on the "Pin" icon on the top. The comment will now be fixed on the left, you can pin multiple comments. The last one pinned will be on the top.

You can collapse/expand pinned comments for more convenient view.

To unpin the comment, you need to click on the icon again, and click on the "Unpin" icon.

Reply to a comment

To reply to comments, start a discussion by clicking on the icon near the block/element, and in the popup window enter your reply. Or click "Reply" in the right menu, below the comment. The right panel will then show the amount of replies, and by clicking on it, the popup window will open.

All project members can participate in discussion.

You can reply to comments right from Home page, Feed tab, where all project comments appear.

Open a comment

Clicking on the project's name in the Feed will take you to the corresponding discussion (in the preview).

You can address comments to specific team members. To do so, type "@" and select the member(s). Mentioned users will receive a notification via email and in the notification center, and will automatically be to any further discussion within this comment.

Additionally, by switching between the "All" and "Section" tabs in the right-side panel, you can view either all comments in a or all comments in the entire project.
