A column can contain several Absolutes. And each Absolute represents a background layer. By default it is added to any block that makes it easier for you to add background color for a block.
An Absolute can be created for any other column. To do so, select an existing column, then select "Absolute" in the panel at the bottom. It will appear in the structure within Columns. You can then use it to create background content elements.
You can define alignment relative to column borders for each layer in the Absolute settings.
The order of these layers can be managed in the Absolute settings by going to the "Layer" parameter. This parameter also defines the layer level (a higher-level layer will display on top of a lower-level layer).
Layers at a level less than or equal to zero are displayed behind the content contained in a column, while layers with a positive value allow you to display the Absolute on top of the content.
Using Absolutes allows you not only to set a simple background, but also create layers (to a maximum of 20) and manage the placement of content in the column.
