Basic entities: root, row, column, element, absolute

PRO mode allows you to freely manage the location of content elements and create completely unique blocks.

Here it's important to know the following terms: section, cover, content page, quiz, block, and element. Please see the glossary if you're unfamiliar with them.

To switch to PRO mode, click the "PRO Mode" button in the navigation panel at the top center of the screen.

Please note that In PRO mode, you'll see the contents of the block you select. So, if you choose block #3 from your list of blocks, PRO mode will show you what's inside block #3.

The block structure consists of:

  • Root.

  • Rows.

  • Columns.

  • Elements.

  • Absolutes (optional).

Root

The first part of the block structure is the Root: it's the initial row that holds all elements, rows, and columns. The Root defines paddings (the space between the element and block border) and width of the block.

Row

Row is a layout element used to organize and structure content horizontally.

Typically, a row contains columns.

Column

A column is a container for elements, and we create the layout structure from the perspective of columns.

Element

Element is the most granular part of the course that can be used to build and design the course. Elements can include various types of content such as text, images, buttons, videos, and many other interactive or static items.

Absolute

Absolute is a background layer that can be added either to columns or to the root. You can add multiple absolutes (layers) to a single column, enabling complex designs and layouts.

For example, an absolute contains an image, allowing the image to serve as a fixed background within a column.
